Fit or fill?
When your video's shape doesn't match the one you pick, there are two ways to handle it:
- Fit whole video keeps everything visible and adds bars above and below (or at the sides). Nothing gets cut, which is safest for videos with text or people near the edges.
- Fill the frame zooms in until the frame is full and crops the edges. It looks more native on vertical platforms, but check that nothing important is at the sides.

Uploading at the exact size a platform expects means it won't crop your video unexpectedly or add its own bars.
Frequently asked questions
Will resizing make my video blurry?
Making a video smaller keeps it sharp. Making a small video bigger (for example 720p to 1080p) can't add detail that wasn't recorded, but the platform will display it correctly.
How do I turn a horizontal video into a vertical one?
Choose 9:16 vertical. Pick Fit whole video to keep the full picture with bars, or Fill the frame to crop to the center.
Is my video uploaded anywhere?
No. Kliprio runs entirely in your browser using your device's built-in video encoder. Your file is never sent to a server, so it stays private and nothing is stored on our side.
Which formats can I use?
MP4, MOV, M4V, MKV, WebM and MPEG-TS videos, with the video codecs your browser can decode (H.264 everywhere; HEVC, VP9 and AV1 on most modern devices). AVI and WMV files are not supported yet.
